Pat and Kevin at computerPat Cruzan, newly-announced interim editor for the Sabbath Recorder magazine, is visiting the SDB Center in Janesville to begin the transition process.

Pat and George Cruzan (along with two new feline acquisitions plus an older cat) drove their fifth-wheeler from southern New Jersey to southern Wisconsin to meet with outgoing editor Kevin Butler and other executives and employees at the denominational center. How those cats drove that thing, I’ll never understand…

Editor Butler and Pat Cruzan reviewed the calendar for the upcoming transition. Pat will help with some of the editing and layout of the July-August Sabbath Recorder (with a Missions theme), then be on her own for the September SR. That issue will cover the General Conference sessions to be held in St. Paul, Minn.

Butler and Cruzan also met with the staff at the print shop where the SR is produced. Their computer expert confirmed that Pat could use her usual layout software, and answered a number of questions including critical turnaround time for the final proofing process of the monthly publication.

Our goal is to have this transition go smoothly, with no interruption in providing you the best “news for and about Seventh Day Baptists.” Please keep us in your prayers. You may send your greetings to Pat at her new e-mail address: sdbsr@seventhdaybaptist.org.
