Thank you to all of the ladies who donated quilts and blankets for our SCSC students to use at Training and Evaluation, especially Cheri Appel, who donated a pile of over 20 fleece blankets!  Because of your generosity, we will have 3 quilts available at the Women’s Society Craft Table at Conference this year.

The first quilt was made by Hayat Bejjani and friends from the Riverside SDB Church, and has a patriotic theme.  The second quilt was made by Margot Harris and her daughter Eva from the Milton SDB Church.  It has a hidden talent, you can play Twister on it!  The third quilt was made by Madelyn Neher from the Dodge Center SDB Church, and has some hidden phrases in the quilting.  All of the quilts are approximately twin-sized.

The proceeds from the sale of these quilts will go into our Dorotha Shettel Fund, which is designated to help SCSC students pay for their Conference expenses.  Our goal is to build this fund to $30,000 before utilizing it, and we are about half way there!  The quilts will be available to purchase through a Silent Auction.  Starting bid for these handcrafted beauties will be $100.  Stop by our table to see the craftsmanship first-hand, place a bid, and you could take one home!
